Prerequisites: Prerequisites are used to ensure that only certain clients can sign up for a class. For example, clients must complete their First Class before signing up for regular iLKB Classes – prerequisites will enforce that rule.

Client Types: Client Types are extra classifications that you can use to define your clients.

How Do Prerequisites work?

Prerequisites are enforced through Client Types. Using prerequisite client types, your clients won't have access to a restricted class until the required client type is assigned to their account. In iLoveKickboxing, when a client takes their First Class, the client type ‘ILKB Registration’ is automatically assigned to their account. Once the client type is assigned, they will have the ability to book regular ILKB Classes.

First Class – Settings to automatically assign the client type ‘ILKB Registration’.

ILKB Class – Settings to restrict signup unless the prerequisite client type is assigned to a client’s account.

Manually Assigning Client Types

When a client needs to be signed into an ILKB Class, but they haven’t taken the First Class yet, an exception can be made by manually assigning the prerequisite client type. Here are the steps for manually assigning the prerequisite for ILKB Classes.

  1. Search for the client and enter the Client Info section of their profile.
  2. Expand the Client Types box and click Assign.
  3. Check off the box labeled ‘ILKB Registration’ and select Update Client Types.

Once this client type has been assigned, you will be able to sign them into any ILKB Class. In a regular scenario, the client would be taking the First Class before signing up for an ILKB Class and the client type would be assigned to them automatically.
