Outline

If your business permits it, clients can sign into class using your branded app on their GPS-enabled mobile device. Checking in is allowed up to 120 minutes before the start of class and clients must be near your business to sign in. This feature is not available on all versions of the app.

Locating and enabling the class self check-in feature

Before clients can sign into class, you'll need to ensure the class self check-in feature is enabled through the Branded App Administration Panel and that your location setting is accurate. Additionally, make sure the client is pre-registered in the class.

  1. Log in to the Branded App Administration Panel.
  2. Select Locations from the App Dashboard page.

  3. Click on the Edit icon on the right-hand side of the screen.

  4. Click on the App Settings tab.

  5. Make sure Disable Self Check-in is unchecked under Class Self Check-in Settings.

  6. Lastly, click on the Location Info tab and make sure your business address is filled out accurately.

Class self check-in settings

Once you've logged in to the Branded App Administration Panel and located the App Settings screen (see above), you can edit your class self check-in settings. These options control how far ahead of time clients can sign into class, and how near your business they must be to receive the sign-in notification.

  • Disable self check-in: Removes the ability for clients to check themselves into class using the app.
  • Geofence radius: Determines how near clients must be to your business in order to the receive the class sign-in notification on their phones. This does not restrict the distance for signing into class using the app, it only determines how near clients must be to receive a notification on their phone.
  • Allow check-in: Determines how many minutes prior to the scheduled start of the class that the client can check in.

Signing into class as a client

Provided the requirements listed below are met, your clients will be able to sign themselves into class when they are near your business or within the time frame you set. You can find directions on signing into class by checking out this consumer-friendly article.

Requirements

Clients must meet two requirements in order to sign in to class from your branded app:

  • Clients must allow the app to access the location services (GPS) on their phones.
  • Clients must be pre-registered in the class.
  • The "Prompt me to sign in to class" option must be enabled through the app settings. This option can be found by tapping Settings on the side menu, and scrolling to the bottom of the screen.
